How many of you have every painted something? It could have been a picture in art class, a room in your house, or even your face. Paint is an amazing thing. You can turn plain white walls to yellow, blue, brown, or whatever color you want. If there is a mark or stain on the wall it can be painted over too.
If you picture your life being a wall, every time you do something wrong you sin and create a stain. Over time your white wall begins to turn a different color.
Thankfully when Jesus died on the cross He died for our sins. In a way, He has painted over our sin with His life. As we take communion let’s remember what Jesus has done for us.
Matthew 26:26-27
While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you.”
