Children's Ministry: What does it take to have a successful children's ministry? Obviously it takes God and a lot of prayer. It takes a lot of work. It takes time. It takes passionate volunteers. It takes more time. It takes planning. It takes encouragement. It takes resources.
Equipping You. It is our goal to help equip you with quality resources that are proven to work in a children's ministry. We hope all of our resources will save you time so you can effectively reach kids for Christ. That is what it's all about!

 | Jon Smith Founder of Minister2Kids
Jon has been doing children's ministry for several years and believes he has the best occupation in the world. Where else do you get paid to minister to kids? Jon graduated from Kentucky Christian College (now KCU) in 2001. After college Jon served in the children's ministry at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY till 2006. In 2006 Jon transitioned into a new ministry and is very blessed to be a part of a wonderful team at Hazelwood Christian Church on the west side of Indianapolis. He is married to his beautiful wife Laura and has two adorable daughters, Hannah and Hillary.
What do you like to do? I enjoy being with my family and friends. I love spending quality time with my girls and taking long walks on the beaches of Indiana with my wife. I really like to play golf, go fishing, play bball, computer stuff, and play an occasional video game.
What's your favorite sports team? That's an easy one! The 2006 Super Bowl World Champs! My Indianapolis Colts. I really think I'm their number one fan! Really.
What TV shows do you like? I really enjoy watching The Office - do you have a Dwight at your church?, Prison Break, Lost, Americas Funniest Home Videos, I'm a big time Colts Fan. No really... I have a 15ft logo painted in my garage...so I don't miss any plays. My all time favorite movie is Ace Ventura Pet Detective.
Anything else? Mountain Dew is great! |

Laura Smith The Brains Behind The Brawn
Laura graduated from Kentucky Christian University with a degree in elementary education and Bible. Before the births of daughters Hannah and Hillary, Laura taught at a Christian school. What do you like to do with your free time? Make crafts with Hannah and Hillary, go on dates with Jon, Scrapbook, read books and magazines, and take naps.
What is your favorite restaurant? Olive Garden if it's just grownups, McDonalds if the girls are with us- they love the PlayPlace.
What is your favorite TV show? Lost - I don't understand everything that's going on, but it is very entertaining.
Tell about a memory of church growing up. I went to church camp every summer. I still remember several of my counselor's names because they made an impact on my life. I want to make the same positive impact on children I lead at church.
